Just a few days later, the Marienrachdorf music association played at the annual Christmas party for the seniors and also provided Christmas sounds and joy here.
Im Anschluss an diese Probe folgte unsere After-Show-Party, an der die neuen Vereinsmitglieder integriert wurden. Mit guter Musik, Getränken und kulinarischen Leckerbissen wurden traditionell die fleißige Probenarbeit und das gelungene Konzert
gefeiert.
Außerdem konnten viele Musikerinnen und Musiker für treue aktive Jahre in der Blasmusik ausgezeichnet werden. So wurden durch den Kreismusikverband, vertreten durch Josef Görg-Reifenberg, insgesamt zwölf Jugendliche mit der Ehrennadel der Jugend in silber (5 Jahre), 3 Vereinsmitglieder mit der Ehrennadel in bronze (10 Jahre), 3 Vereinsmitglieder mit der Ehrennadel in silber (20 Jahre), 3 Vereinsmitglieder mit der Ehrennadel in gold (30 Jahre) und 3 Vereinsmitglieder mit der Ehrennadel in gold mit Ehrenbrief (40 Jahre) ausgezeichnet.
Darauf sind wir sehr stolz!
Abgerundet wurde unser musikalisches Wochenende durch das Instrumentenkarussel, was sich großem Interessen erfreute. Zahlreiche Besucher konnten sich einen Eindruck vom Musikverein Marienrachdorf verschaffen und verschiedene Instrumente ausprobieren. Wir haben uns sehr über die große Resonanz gefreut.

Besuch der Grundschule Marienrachdorf (05,.05.2023)
Auch in diesem Jahr durfte der Musikverein Marienrachdorf wieder die Grundschule besuchen und sich den Schülerinnen und Schülern der 3. und 4. Klassen vorstellen. Zunächst wurden 2 Musikstücke vorgetragen, die von den Kindern sofort richtig erraten wurden. Anschließend wurden die einzelnen Instrumente vorgestellt und besprochen. Außerdem konnten alle Fragen geklärt werden. Die Schülerinnen und Schüler waren wieder sehr gut vorbereitet und zeigten großes Interesse.

Unter Hochdruck bereiten wir derzeit das Comeback des Backesfestes vor. Freut euch auf "Altbekanntes" und seid gespannt auf "Neues".

Anschließend waren alle zur traditionellen After-Show-Party nach einem erfolgreichen Konzert eingeladen. Mit Musik, Tanz, abwechslungsreichen Spielen und einem reichhaltigen Büffet war für jeden etwas dabei.
Vielen Dank an Margit Stommel für die schöne Überraschung. Darüber haben wir uns sehr gefreut!

Gespielt wurden z.B. Swingstandards wie “Easy does it”, bekannte Klassiker wie “Tequila”, wobei das Publikum tatkräftig unterstützte sowie Filmmusik wie z.B. “Mission Impossible”. Abgeschlossen wurde diese “Mittagspause” durch das fetzige Latin-Stück “Funky Cha Cha”. Wie in der Big-Band-Musik üblich, konnten die Musikerinnen und Musiker in den verschiedenen Stücken durch ein Solo ihr Können präsentieren.
Man merkte nicht, dass es für Viele das erste Jazzsolo ihres Lebens war, da sie es - egal ob Trompete, Klavier, Posaune, Saxophon, Klarinette, Klavier, E-Bass oder Querflöte - souverän meisterten.
Nach der Pause traten Jugend- und großes Orchester gemeinsam auf und präsentierten “Disneys Lion King”, gefolgt von “The best of James Bond”. Schließlich befassten sich die Musikerinnen und Musiker in der “Musikstunde” mit “Hans Zimmer Movie Milestones”, ein Potpourri der Titelmusik mehrerer Filme (Madagascar, Crimson Tide, Gladiator, Fluch der Karibik, Driving Miss Daisy, König der Löwen). Mit dem Unterrichtsfach „Englisch“ verabschiedete sich der Musikverein Marienrachdorf mit „Grüße aus Amerika”.
Die vom Publikum eingeforderten Zugaben „Happy“ und „Probiers mal mit Gemütlichkeit“ wurden mit allen Orchestern gemeinsam vorgetragen. Schließlich hielt es keinen der Zuschauer mehr auf den Stühlen, und der Applaus wollte auch nach der dritten Zugabe nicht abreißen.
Beim vorletzten Stück erfolgte der Dirigentenwechsel von Alexandra Diedrich auf Torsten Eickhoff, der ab Februar 2023 die musikalische Leitung des Musikvereins Marienrachdorf übernehmen wird und die vom Publikum eingeforderte dritte Zugabe wurde von beiden Dirigenten gemeinsam dirigiert.
Alexandra Diedrich hat den Verein in den letzten sieben Jahren musikalisch geleitet und mit ihrem Engangement und den vielen tollen Ideen die Musikerinnen und Musiker jederzeit motiviert, gefördert und gefordert. Auch über die schwierige Zeit der coronabedingten Zwangspause ist es ihr gelungen, den Verein zusammenzuhalten und über neue Wege und Projekte musikalisch zu begeistern.
Darüber sind wir sehr glücklich und möchten wir ihr von ganzem Herzen danken. Für ihre private und berufliche Zukunft wünschen wir alles erdenklich Gute.

Advent games in the
Senior flat share Pusch (07.12.2022)
This year, too, the musicians of the Marienrachdorf Music Association used the opportunity to bring Christmas joy to the residents of the Pusch residential community.
They met in the courtyard of the property and performed atmospheric Christmas carols.
They invited the audience to sing along and created a Christmassy atmosphere.
Christmas market (11/26/2022)
After a two-year Corona break, the traditional Christmas market in Marienrachdorf took place again this year and the musicians were very happy to be able to help shape it musically again.
Also this year the youth orchestra started with the musical entertainment.
Afterwards the orchestra of the music association Marienrachdorf played with Christmassy sounds.
Everyone involved enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere.
Club outing (09/17/2022)
This year's club outing took the musicians to the Black Pearl in Neuwied on September 17th.
In several teams, the participants started a competition in black light mini golf. That was great fun for everyone.
Afterwards, all participants were surprised with a rich buffet in the grill hut Marienrachdorf .
Many thanks to Anja for the culinary treats.
The beautiful day ended with a convivial evening.
Sessenhausen Wine Festival (09/10/2022)
Just one weekend later, the musicians of the Musikverein Marienrachdorf were able to make their skills heard again. At the wine festival in Sessenhausen they provided the best musical entertainment and a good atmosphere in the marquee.
Our youth orchestra rehearses on Fridays at 6:45 p.m. and our large orchestra at 7:45 p.m. under the direction of Alexandra Diedrich in the Marienrachdorf multi-purpose hall. Village festival Marienrachdorf (09/04/2022)
After the summer break, the musicians were happy to perform again after a short rehearsal. This year, the youth orchestra of the Marienrachdorf music association started again under the musical direction of Alina Engers at the village festival in Marienrachdorf and delighted the audience with the pieces they performed.
Both orchestras then played together. Finally, the orchestra of the Musikverein Marienrachdorf conducted by Alexandra Diedrich played a broad repertoire of brass music.

Active musicians from all departments of the Marienrachdorf Music Association met on May 25 for this year's active celebration.
After a welcome drink, everyone could strengthen themselves at the rich buffet.
In addition, the good weather invited for a barbecue.
Thanks to DJ Christian, all music requests could be fulfilled.
Varied games and good entertainment also contributed to a successful evening.

Attending elementary school

After a two-year break, the Musikverein Marienrachdorf was allowed to visit our elementary school again and introduce itself to the students in the 3rd and 4th grades.
In addition to common pieces of music, the individual instruments were presented.
The students were very well prepared and showed great interest.

Rehearsal weekend in
Bad Marienberg
May 2022 (05/17/2022)
In preparation for the circus concert on June 12, 2022, the musicians of the Musikverein Marienrachdorf met for the traditional weekend of rehearsals, this time at the youth hostel in Bad Marienberg.
In addition to intensive rehearsals, various workshops for creative performances in the ring were also offered.
With a campfire, games evening and a cozy get-together, everyone could enjoy being together and everyone involved had a lot of fun on this varied weekend.
We are already looking forward to welcoming you to our circus concert on June 12, 2022 at 4 p.m. at the multi-purpose hall in Marienrachdorf.

Living advent calendar 2021(12/17/2021)
On December 17, 2021, the Musikverein Marienrachdorf took the opportunity tolively advent calendarto participate.
Instead of a rehearsal, the musicians met in the multi-purpose hall to play music together. Festively decorated and with lots of Christmas lights, the youth orchestra got the listeners into the right mood.
Afterwards, the large orchestra entertained with Christmas sounds. With a little surprise, all participants were said goodbye to the Christmas holidays.

Carnival 2021
Everything is different this year, including carnival. Instead of making music at carnival parades, the musicians of the Musikverein Marienrachdorf met again virtually and were able to play great music againvideos- this time with carnival songs.
We would like to thank our conductor for the idea and the editing and everyone involved for their commitment and the great costumes.

Cancellation of the annual general meeting - 04.10.2020
Dear musicians, dear active and inactive, dear friends and sponsors of the Musikverein Marienrachdorf!
Nothing is the same this year.
In March, the previously carefree rehearsal and performance time came to an abrupt end for us too.
We've been rehearsing regularly since June - first on the sports field, now again with a roof over our heads in Guido Pusch's farm barn (at this point many thanks again to the local community and to Guido for the support!).
Performances and indoor rehearsals are not yet in sight for us again, but we are in good spirits and look forward to more normal times, which hopefully will come back at some point.
The annual general meeting of our association and support association is now traditionally in November.
Due to the current and steadily increasing corona numbers and due to the fact that there are no elections this year, we would like to suspend the meeting this year and instead hold it together with the upcoming general meeting in 2021, including board elections.
We have had the legal advice of the district music association assure us that this is not a legal problem.
Everyone's health is our top priority, so we want to avoid any risks.
Of course, if there are any open questions or need to speak, the entire MVM board is always happy to help.

We do our best in these difficult times and trust that after the crisis we will be able to make our musical contribution to village life again as a strong association.
first barn rehearsal - 04.09.2020
We have a roof over our heads again!
After several weeks of outdoor rehearsals, our first barn rehearsal took place.
Our training and youth orchestra was able to make use of the last bit of daylight, while thanks to the spotlights set up, the large orchestra could still see the notes perfectly even after the sun had set.
Thanks to the much better sound and the well-attended rehearsals, all the musicians went home with a smile on their faces. A very warm one

the music club is rehearsing again.
On Friday, June 12th, 2020, we were able to conduct our first "open-air rehearsal" and were very happy to be able to play music together again.
Die After Show Party 2020
After many weeks of diligent rehearsals and a successful concert, it was time to celebrate again. This year, all active musicians of the Musikverein Marienrachdorf met again this year for an after-show party. An entertaining evening could be spent here in a good atmosphere with beautiful music, varied games and a rich buffet. As every year, there was a small gift for all active members. Everyone involved had a lot of fun.
We are always happy about new musicians. Our training orchestra rehearses every Friday at 6:00 p.m., our youth orchestra at 6:30 p.m. and the orchestra at 7:45 p.m. in the Marienrachdorf multi-purpose hall For more information contact our youth leader Nadine Bongard (02626-3649113).

The New Year's concert 2020
On January 25, 2020, the Musikverein Marienrachdorf held its annual New Year's concert in the multi-purpose hall in Marienrachdorf and enjoyed a packed concert hall. All three orchestras put their skills to the test again this year.
The concert evening was opened by the training orchestra with the "Bi-Ba-Butzemann" under the direction of Alexandra Diedrich. The young musicians have been rehearsing together for eight months now and had their first public performance that evening. With "We will rock you" they were able to encourage the enthusiastic audience to join in.
Afterwards, training and youth orchestras played together and delighted the audience with the titles "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Raiders March".
The children then swapped places with the musicians of the youth orchestra, who captivated the audience with the titles "The magnificent seven", "Hello" and "Thunder".
The requested encore was of course gladly granted. And so the first part of the concert ended with all the orchestras together on stage and the title "Möge die Straße", accompanied by vocals by Kyra Odenthal. All the musicians said goodbye to great applause during the break.
After a short break, the second part of the concert evening began. Under the motto "True treasures - a musical scavenger hunt through Marienrachdorf" the spectators were spoiled with musical delicacies by the large orchestra under the direction of Alexandra Diedrich. As part of a virtual scavenger hunt through Marienrachdorf, the audience was guided through the program by musicians from the training orchestra.
At the beginning the swinging "The Police Academy March" from the series of the same name was heard, followed by the beautiful ballad "Leningrad" by Billy Joel, which caused goosebumps in the hall. The Musikverein then took the audience to Ireland and conjured up dramatic, energetic but also very emotional Irish-Celtic music in Marienrachdorf with “Lord of the Dance”. The varied polka "Half a Century" followed and with "Marsch-Konfetti", a funny medley of almost 30 different marches, the Musikverein was able to provide a furious conclusion to the second part of the concert with many show effects including confetti cannons.
The last part of the evening began with "Uptown Funk!", followed by "Choral and Rock-Out" and the film music "Selections from the Polar Express", which musically evoked a journey by train to the North Pole. The medley "Udo Jürgens live" also caused enthusiasm among the spectators and invited them to join in. The grand finale of the concert was the "Steiger March", which incorporated the anthem of the miners.
The encores "Don't stop me now" and "Eye of the tiger" demanded by the audience were performed together with the youth orchestra and festively accompanied by the training orchestra with lighted feathers. In the end none of the spectators could sit on their chairs and the applause didn't want to stop even after the third encore. In a cozy get-together, musicians and visitors let the successful evening end.
Seniors Christmas party
The music club Marienrachdorf played again this year for the annual Christmas party for the seniors. On this occasion, musicians from all departments of the Musikverein performed together and entertained with Christmas sounds. The pieces performed invited people to sing along and created a Christmassy atmosphere.
Christmas market 2019
The traditional Christmas market in Marienrachdorf took place again this year on Saturday, November 30th. Die Musikerinnen und Musiker des Jugendorchesters musizierten bei dieser Gelegenheit gemeinsam mit dem Orchester des Musikverein Marienrachdorf und unterhielten_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b- 136bad5cf58d_ with Christmassy sounds. In this way, an atmospheric atmosphere was created. Everyone involved enjoyed it very much.
Village Festival 2019

675 years of Brückrachdorf
On the occasion of the anniversary celebration "675 years of Brückrachdorf", the Marienrachdorf music club played for a morning pint last weekend. With a lot of joy in making music together, the musicians provided the best musical entertainment for about 90 minutes with a varied repertoire and inspired their listeners.
Fair 2019
On Sunday, June 23, 2019, the youth orchestra of the Musikverein Marienrachdorf conducted by Alexandra Diedrich provided musical entertainment. In the packed fair tent, the young musicians had a lot of fun presenting their skills and delighted their audience with their repertoire. Afterwards the orchestra of the Musikverein Marienrachdorf played and said goodbye to the summer holidays.
Restart training orchestra
The Musikverein Marienrachdorf is happy about seven new musicians who will support us musically in the future. The training orchestra was restarted with them on May 17th. With flute, saxophone, clarinets and drums, a common sound can be developed in small groups and the joy of making music can be experienced.
Our training orchestra rehearses every Friday at 6:00 p.m., our youth orchestra at 6:30 p.m. and the orchestra at 7:45 p.m. in the Marienrachdorf multi-purpose hall welcome to this and you are welcome to contact our 1st Chairperson Anja Scherer (0163-8144512) for further information. The baking festival
Also this year, the Marienrachdorf music association organized the Ascension Day (Father's Day).traditional music and baking festivalin Marienrachdorf and was happy about many visitors in bright sunshine. The music club Sessenhausen and the youth orchestra of the music club Marienrachdorf provided the musical entertainment.
We would like to say a big thank you to all the helpers who made this baking festival possible with their active support.
Many thanks for the help with the bread baking, all cake donations, the support with the services, the musical arrangement as well as for all the helping hands with the construction and dismantling.
Club outing 2019
On May 11th, the musicians from all departments of the Musikverein Marienrachdorf started in a good mood for a joint excursion to Hachenburg. The goal was the bowling center, where everyone involved spent two enjoyable hours in a good mood. Afterwards, the musicians were able to strengthen themselves in a convivial atmosphere. All participants had a lot of fun.
Attended the elementary school in Marienrachdorf
On April 11th, the Musikverein Marienrachdorf visited the 3rd and 4th graders of the elementary school in Marienrachdorf. After a joint piece of music, the individual instruments were presented and then they were allowed to try them out. The students were very well prepared and showed great interest.
Our training orchestra starts again on May 17th and then rehearses on Fridays at 6 p.m. under the direction of Alexandra Diedrich in the Marienrachdorf multi-purpose hall. After the Easter holidays, the youth orchestra rehearses again at 6:30 p.m. and the orchestra at 7:45 p.m. in the multi-purpose hall Marienrachdorf under the direction of Alexandra Diedrich. There, the individual instruments can be tried out and all other questions can be discussed.
Carnival parades 2019
The carnival parade in Mülheim-Kärlich started at 2:11 p.m. on Sunday, March 3rd. Although the sky was overcast, the musicians of the Musikverein Marienrachdorf were still able to make music and had a lot of fun for two hours!
The Musikverein was not quite so lucky on Monday, March 4th, when the carnival parade in Gladbach was accompanied. However, even a hailstorm could not drive away the good mood of those involved , who also happily performed popular carnival songs. Afterwards there was a performance in the hall.
Restart youth orchestra
Almost twelve months have passed since our training and youth orchestra began rehearsing together in a new composition. The diligent practice was very worthwhile, so that several joint performances and finally our New Year's concert could be successfully completed. The young musicians are now so far advanced in their training that they have been able to switch to the youth orchestra under the direction of Alexandra Diedrich. The first joint rehearsal took place on February 1, 2019. Everyone involved had a lot of fun making music together. The youth orchestra is happy about the addition and the opportunity to develop a great sound together.
From now on, the youth orchestra rehearses every Friday at 6:15 p.m. and the orchestra at
7:30 p.m. in the multi-purpose hall Marienrachdorf under the direction of Alexandra Diedrich.
After show party 2019
All active musicians of the Musikverein Marienrachdorf met on January 25th. to an after show party. An entertaining evening was spent with a good atmosphere, beautiful music, varied games and many culinary delicacies. At the end everyone got a little surprise. All participants had a lot of fun.
New Year's concert 2019
On January 19, 2019, the Musikverein Marienrachdorf and the training and youth orchestra organized their annual New Year's concert in the multi-purpose hall in Marienrachdorf.
The concert was performed by the training orchestra under the direction of Andreas Nilges with Canon No. 9 "Let us together" opened and delighted the audience with melodies such as "Ode to Joy", "Chinaman in Paris", "Guns'n Cowboys" and Pippi Longstocking". Only after an encore was the training orchestra allowed to say goodbye to the stage.
Afterwards, the musicians of the youth orchestra under the direction of Marie Hopp and Alexandra Diedrich proved their skills and caused great excitement with the title music of "James Bond", "Perfect" and "The Lord of the Rings". enthusiasm among the spectators.
The Musikverein Marienrachdorf is particularly proud of its successful youth work. On this evening, Miriam Böthling, Zita Dieterle, Merle Glaremin, Malina Müller and Sina Trenkelbach were honored for successfully completing the D1 course and Johanna Scherer and Alina Engers for successfully completing the D3 course.
After a short break, the second part of the concert evening began. Under the direction of Alexandra Diedrich, the Musikverein Marienrachdorf took the audience with musical delicacies around the globe under the motto "Music connects beyond national borders". Individual musicians moderated the program together with locals from the countries to which they had traveled musically. The journey started with "Free World Fantasy" by Jacob de Haan in Holland. Spain was then visited and Anne Hopp, as solo trumpet, managed to conjure up goosebumps in the audience with her soulful performance of "En aranjuez con tu amor" by Joaquin Rodrigo. It continued with "Oye como va" to South America and with the varied polka "From friend to friend" the music association landed in Austria. From there the journey continued to the Czech Republic and with "Slovanska Hudba" a wonderful cross-section of melodies by Friedrich Smetana and Anton Dvorak sounded. The lively Russian folk song "Kalinka" was performed together with the youth orchestra. This was followed by "Surfin' USA", which was played by all three orchestras together.
Overture de Argentina, Debesis lekrita Tevi (Latvia) and Carnival i Oslo followed. With "Oregon" by Jacob de Haan, the Musikverein Marienrachdorf succeeded in taking the audience on an adventurous train journey through the fascinating landscape of Oregon (North America). It continued with the march "Graf Waldersee" and at the end of the concert "We are the world" was played together with the youth orchestra.
At the end none of the listeners could sit on their chairs and the applause didn't want to stop even after the third encore. In a cozy get-together, musicians and visitors let the successful evening end.
St. Martin's parade 2018
On Friday, November 2nd, 2018, like every year, the Marienrachdorf music association accompanied the Sankt Martin parade of the local community and the Marienrachdorf kindergarten. This time the musicians of the training and youth orchestra and the orchestra of the Marienrachdorf Music Association played together. Everyone involved had a lot of fun making music together.
Village festival Marienrachdorf 2018
At this year's village festival, Sunday, August 26th, 2018, the young musicians of the training orchestra of the Musikverein Marienrachdorf had their first public appearance and after only six months of rehearsing together they were able to inspire their audience with their repertoire and prove their skills. Afterwards, the Marienrachdorf Music Association provided varied musical entertainment.
On the following Friday, August 31, the training orchestra celebrated this first joint performance with pizza and drinks in a cozy get-together after the rehearsal. Everyone involved had a lot of fun.
Public rehearsal on June 22nd
The training orchestra has invited parents, relatives and interested parties to a public rehearsal in the multi-purpose hall in Marienrachdorf. The young musicians met for the 15th time this evening and presented pieces of music that they had worked on over the past few weeks under the direction of Andreas Nilges. Flutes, clarinets, trumpets, saxophone, tenor horn and drums also presented themselves individually and demonstrated the great sound they can produce together after such a short time, thereby delighting their audience.
Family hiking day June 09, 2018
Freshly strengthened at the meeting point with a (non-alcoholic, of course!) summer strawberry punch, the family hike in Marienrachdorf started in a good mood in the best weather. The destination was the Seehaus in Maroth, and the group quickly set off with musicians and members from all three orchestra groups of the Musikverein.
On the way there was a surprising refreshment in the form of ice cream at an unexpected place, and so the little ones stayed in a good mood and had fun with it.
After the friendly reception in Maroth we were allowed to besiege the beer garden and fortify ourselves with drinks and food.
The playground in the seaside resort could also be used, so the children never got bored during their stay.
After a nice joint final game, the first participants said goodbye on site, but the majority also tackled the way back.
The evening sky is friendly and thank God it stayed dry, and so we managed the long way back to Marienrachdorf in a good mood despite numerous brakes and tired feet.
An all-round successful and beautiful day - even without instruments!
Baking Festival 2018
Also this year, the Marienrachdorf music association organized the traditional music and baking festival in Marienrachdorf on Ascension Day (Father's Day) and despite the initially bad weather, was able to welcome many visitors. Musical entertainment was provided by the Sessenhausen and Stromberg music clubs and the Maxsainer brass band, which delighted the audience.

Visit to the elementary school in Marienrachdorf in 2018
On April 27th, the Musikverein Marienrachdorf visited the 3rd and 4th graders of the elementary school in Marienrachdorf. After a joint piece of music, the individual instruments were introduced. The students were very well prepared and showed great interest.
Afterwards, all instruments were allowed to be tried out. A lot of talent showed up here.

carnival parades
Weißenthurm + Großmaischeid
On Sunday, February 11th, the carnival parade in Weißenthurm started at 2:11 p.m.
The musicians of the Musikverein Marienrachdorf played for 3 hours. Neither cold nor drizzle could drive away the good mood.
Furthermore, on Tuesday, February 13, the carnival parade in Großmaischeid was accompanied for 45 minutes in bright sunshine and then played in the hall.
